Thinking About wikiHow & Fish-Stick Sandwiches

WikiHow is a great resource because it allows people to find insight from one-another based off of other people’s experience. Many times when you are trying to figure out how to do something, you would rather turn to someone who already knows how to do it, in an easy to comprehend breakdown. Having been published by general public, anyone is capable of posting to wikiHow. This gives people the opportunity to help a stranger who may also be interested in the same things. The author has chosen three topics that they feel educated on that could be made into a wikiHow post.
The first idea for a wikiHow article is how to use a Mamiya 645 1000s – a medium format film camera from the 70s. The author has a strong interest in photography, and shoots in film quite frequently. When they decided to get into medium format film, a step above regular 35mm film, they was suggested to purchase a Mamiya 645 1000s. After researching the camera, they found a reliable to site to purchase one, and pulled the trigger. Upon receiving the camera, they were eager to use it, and figured they would be able to start using the camera with ease right away. However, they were wrong, and the camera was quite confusing. It was unlike 35mm cameras they had used in the past, and had a tough time getting everything set up. After quickly getting it together, they managed to mess up a setting on the camera, which caused almost the entire roll to get destroyed. The author had read the manual online, but didn’t find it very useful. It is believed that if the author made an article about using this camera, people would specifically be able to figure out how to use it.
The second article the author would be interested in writing is how to enjoy winter in Buffalo. They feel as though this could be useful because many people tend to hate their life during the winter while living in Buffalo. However, the author thoroughly enjoys their time in the winter. They would mostly make a list of things to consider doing, breaking down each one into finer detail. They could make a list of events, or things to try. This could consist of hobbies such as skiing, or could list places to go and try like bars, or concerts. There’s a lot of possibilities, and tons of different directions the author could go.
The last idea the author came up with is how to go to college the cheapest way possible. The author feels as though that over the past four years they cut every corner possible in order to try and save money. The author started at a community college, rode their bike, bought old editions of books, made money on the side, bought cheap food, learned how to find good prices, etc. This is something the author would have to breakdown into a few big topics, and then try to go into finer detail. This is beneficial because every college student ever wants to try and save money, and not be constantly broke. Any insight the author could give that might be able to help other people would be great.

WikiHow is a great resource because it allows people to find insight from one-another based off of other people’s experience. Using the knowledge the author has gained throughout life, they believe these topics could be beneficial to those who may seek it. Using a Mamiya 645 1000s, enjoying winter in Buffalo, and how to get through college as cheap as possible. Many times when you are trying to figure out how to do something, you would rather turn to someone who already knowns how to do in order to receive an easy to comprehend breakdown. Having been published by general public, anyone is capable of posting to wikiHow, which allows people who may be passionate about something have to opportunity to help someone out who may also be interested in this matter.
